We would like to share some of our scheduled activities here at Payette Public Library, we know that the weather is not quite cooperating yet, and that there are plenty of activities happening at our library for those that need to get out of the house!
Please share, share and SHARE! And of course, if you have any questions feel free to get in contact with us!

*Movies* We offer a variety of movies throughout the year, that take place indoor and outdoor. We encourage our patrons to attend, and to make it a great experience by bringing items of comfort—a blankie for those cool summer nights, a pillow to prop your head on in the community room. That also goes for snacks, please feel free to enjoy your movie experience the best way possible!
*Library Club* is a club that runs with the school year. Offered twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30pm we engage our school age audience with a variety of topics, to include STEAM (Science, Technology, Art, Engineering and Math) and sometimes just educational based—like learning how to vote! We interchange the titles frequently, but Library Club does also encompass our ever-popular LEGO Club.
*Story Time* This is geared for kids that haven’t gone to school yet. Ages 5 and under, Ms. Wendy engages a captive audience with a story (or two!), various songs and activities, and ends with a snack and craft. We offer Story Time two times a week, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, at 10:15am.
*Specialty Classes* From time to time, as staffing and resources allow, we offer various classes that cover topics that are relevant, or requested by our patrons (for ALL AGES!!). For the week of Spring Break, we will be offering two classes:
—Cut the Cord-an inside look at how you too can “Cut the Cord” of Cable and use the internet to watch tv. Erin will take you through the steps of what you will need to do so, the supplies needed, what the cost will be, and how to maximize your experience based off your preferences. This is an introductory course designed to engage.
—Paper Flower Workshop—Have you seen those pretty paper flowers on Pinterest? Perhaps you’ve bought them on Etsy. Come have some fun and make some beautiful paper flowers celebrating spring. All ages welcome, skill levels needed are ability to use scissors, and complete tasks and instructions on their own. (For those wondering about kids!)
*Makerspace!* Meets every week, at 5pm in our dedicated Makerspace. Currently, the target age group is for teens and adults, as they explore the world of well….pretty much anything that catches their eye. Robotics, breadboarding, Makey-Makey, Arduinos, Raspberry Pi and Coding, the sky is the limit on what can be explored!
